Russia is preparing citizens for war with NATO. We're in phase zero

Russia is increasingly returning to the rhetoric known from the times of the russian Union, depicting the country as a victim of external aggression and hostile environment, according to the latest study of the Institute of War Studies (ISW). According to analysts, the Kremlin deliberately recreates the story of "a besieged fortress" to justify future military actions towards Europe and the Asia-Pacific region and prepare Russian society for a long-term conflict with the West.
