Russia on the EU’s “blacklist” of money laundering countries

On 3 December, the European Commission (EC) included Russia on the EU list of high-risk countries (the "black list") which show strategical shortcomings in their anti-financial crime systems. This decision will formally enter into force within 2 months of its publication if it is not rejected by the European Parliament and the European Council.
