Władysław Surkow, erstwhile close advisor to Vladimir Putin, announced that Russia would "expand in all directions", and the alleged Russian planet (Russian mir) "no borders" - wrote the American think tank Institute of War Studies (ISW) in a fresh analysis. Analysts point out that in a speech akin to Surkov, Vladimir Putin has frequently spoken recently.
