According to the fresh draft regulation of the Ministry of Interior, the Border defender will be able to impose mandates for photographing border crossings. Punishments can scope 10,000 zlotys!
As amended by the Regulation, the Border defender is to gain fresh powers. A fresh position is to be added to the catalogue of mandates which may be issued by officers: a mandate for photographing border infrastructure, including border crossings and another places where officers execute statutory tasks.
The changes arise from the provisions of the MON which prohibit the shooting of critical infrastructure without authorisation. Currently, sanctions for specified violations are provided for in the Home defence Act.
"The introduction of these regulations will enable Border defender officers to respond efficiently and effectively to revealed misconduct and to take effective action, without having to affect another authorised services", the authors of the amendment justify.
