Robert Bąkiewicz dismissed as president of the independency March

On February 19 at 12 a.m., the General Assembly of the Association of independency March was held, during which Robert Bąkiewicz was recalled from the position of president of the organization. The fresh president of the Association was Bartosz Malewski.

Robert Bąkiewicz was appealed by 31 members of the Association, 1 individual abstained. Sam Bąkiewicz did not attend the meeting.

Robert Bąkiewicz stated that he did not recognise the results of the vote. According to the erstwhile president, the assembly was held against the rules and is an effort to take over the Association. This is simply a manifest lie, according to the Statute of the MN, the majority of board members (6/4) have the right to convene the General Assembly and to take the "no confidence" against the acting President. In addition, yesterday's Extraordinary General gathering was held on the basis of a resolution taken at a convention convened by Robert Bąkiewicz on 20 December 2022.

Bąkiewicz's conflict with nationalists

For respective years we have been observing an effort to buy the independency March with grants and government money, to influence and buy people in the Society or even president Robert Winnicki

Robert Bąkiewicz has been opposed to national environments for a long time. The conflict is due to the conclusion of an informal alliance between Bąkiewicz and the Law and Justice. It is simply a kind of transaction, utilizing the PiS grants it buys its support from the erstwhile CEO of MW. An perfect example was the March of independency of 2021, during which Bąkiewicz addressed Prime Minister Morawiecki, suggesting that many gathered at the march supported him. At last year's independency March, Bąkiewicz already admitted openly to supporting the ruling party. Robert Winnicki announced at a press conference that MN 2022 will pass under the motto "Poland's national state". At the same time, Robert Bąkiewicz convened his own conference and established another slogan, “The Strong Nation, large Poland”, thus deciding to organise a separate march, to which invited, against the will of another members of the MN Association, Law and Justice politicians. Antonia Macierewicz, Janusz Kowalski and Zbigniew Ziobro were shown in the photograph and marched in a specially separated region on the front of the March.

Attention should besides be paid to the immense sums of government grants that Robert Bąkiewicz and his ‘spectra’ organizations have received over the years. According to NIK data, these are about PLN 2 million.

He received the highest grant (PLN 430 thousand) in 2022 for the association “Faith and Tradition”, founded by Mariusz Sorol, his associate in Pruszkow. Although a year has passed since the registration, the organization has inactive received a website, its authorities have not been disclosed, nor has the number or email address been given. The office are located in a private home belonging to a individual associated with Bąkiewicz.
