The limit in force so far indicated that containers with liquids with a maximum capacity of 100 millilitres may have been present in hand luggage. In addition, all of them had to be placed in a transparent bag of a capacity of not more than 1 litre. Talks about eliminating this provision resumed modern scanners. In the end, the European Commission agreed that airports with specified technology could apply to lift the limit and let passengers to carry bottles up to 2 litres. specified changes occurred on Wednesday 3 September 2025 at the airport in Kraków.
The first modern scanner started investigating before a long May weekend. Despite the formal limits in force at the time, the specified fact that passengers did not gotta remove electronics and tiny liquid bottles from their hand luggage was a very advanced convenience for travellers and at the same time importantly accelerated the screening itself. We estimation that the time needed to check 1 individual has decreased by nearly 30 percent.
- commented Łukasz Strutyński, president of the Management Board of Kraków Airport, quoted by the Aviation Market. In his opinion, the fresh scanners and the deficiency of limits will make even in days with evidence attendance at the airport, the waiting time for control will be highly short.
Thanks to this solution, even on days erstwhile we break further passenger traffic records, and it happens that 1 day up to 48,000 passengers usage our airport services, the time to wait for control, for most of them does not exceed 10 minutes
- adds Łukasz Strutyński.

No more liquid limit on airmen in Poland. Krakow is not all
