The survey on method trade in grain from Ukraine covers 86 threads. 12 people from different companies were charged. The Ministry of Agriculture has inactive not revealed the identity of the people liable for bringing grain, says the paper Rzeczpospolita. Although the ministry has promised to print the list now as a reason for the deficiency of publication, it points to "legal barriers" and farmers' strikes.
"12 people from different companies have heard allegations about the placing on the marketplace of Ukrainian method grain, which in the country was sold as food or feed, are the results of the investigation of the Rzeszow prosecutor's prosecution, which has been clearing the alleged grain scandal in the time of the PiS government for a year," wrote the journal.
‘Gazeta ‘Rzeczpospolita’ recalled that the case concerns the mass import of uncontrolled cereals and rape from Ukraine from 2022 to 2023. This period came at a time erstwhile the European Union, as a consequence of the outbreak of the armed conflict, decided to abolish customs duties on agricultural products from Ukraine."
"Ukrainian method cereals in immense quantities entered Poland, virtually not subject to border controls, and already in the country it was sold as feed or consumption. The procedure was based on fraud, among the victims were, among others, renowned home flour producers" - the diary emphasized.

The grain scandal. A case in the DA's office
The import of Ukrainian method grain is cleared by a peculiar squad in the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Rzeszów, conducting a comprehensive investigation into advanced value fraud and customs offences.
As the D.A.'s spokesperson, Procurate Dorota Sokołowska-Mach, explained, the case is being investigated under 86 threads, and 12 people have the position of suspects who have been accused of criminal and criminal taxation offences. However, it has not been disclosed how many companies are under investigation, precisely what allegations have been made, or what quantities of cereals and what value are involved.

The authors of the article reflect on the identity of the suspects, noting that they have been arrested but, for example, guarantees and supervision. The investigation concerns actions aimed at introducing between 2022 and 2023 ‘to an unfavourable regulation a crucial value to the purchasers of cereals by disinformation of persons acting on their behalf as regards the origin of cereals’.
In addition, the intent is to mislead the customs authorities by providing unreliable documentation, including VAT invoices, concerning the kind of goods imported. The paper besides mentions that respective twelve investigations conducted by the KAS and the prosecutors from all over the country were included in the proceeding, as well as cases directed straight to the prosecutor's office in Rzeszów by bodies specified as the wellness department, veterinary inspection and others.
