Vladimir Semirunnij won the bronze medal of the world's multi-combat ice skating championship in Heerenveen. The Polish typical provided the podium with a good run of 10,000 metres. The gold was won by the Norwegian Sander Eitrem and the silver by the Czech Method of Jilek.
Before the final competition, Semirunnia ranked fourth, losing little than 11 seconds to the podium. In the decisive run, he doubled Norwegian Peder Kongshauga and long led the classification.
Eventually, the weaker performance of defending American Jordan Stolz, who fell off the podium, determined the medals.
