The latest contract for transportation of 155 MSBS Grot carbines is under way. All sets, ordered at the weapon mill “Łuknik”-Radom, are to be sent to selected units by 18 December 2024. In total, the Polish Army will have almost a 1000 pieces of this weapon, with an estimated value of over PLN 9.7 million.
The agreement between the firearm maker weapon mill “Łucznik”-Radom and the Armed Forces Agency took place on 16 July 2024. This time the Agency decided to order 155 sets of MSBS Grot typical rifles. The maker is to deliver them to the military by December 18, 2024. The value of the contract is PLN 2.17 million. For the Radom factory, this is the 4th order of this kind since 2016.
– The agreement is in advancement – Monika Daszkowska from the Department of Marketing and Communications of the “Łuknik” weapon Factory, said.
MSBS Grot's typical rifles are utilized by soldiers of the Polish Army typical Regiment and the Land Army, Air Force and Navy typical companies. specified equipment is besides equipped with a typical division of the Prison Service, the Police Representation Company and the Carpathian Border defender Branch. Polish carbine – fresh quality
Representing firearm MSBS Grot 5,56R is the consequence of cooperation of experts from the Weapons Factory, the Military method Academy and the Warsaw garrison command. The aim of this task was to replace the “agely” rifles of the russian production, which were utilized by soldiers in the sub-units of the Polish Armed Forces.
Modular tiny Arms System 5.56R is simply a variant of the MSBS-5.56K rifle, firing a practice ammunition. The typical version was equipped with a 508 mm barrel (in K – 408 mm version), an extended bed, a magazine with a capacity of 10 rounds (instead of 30/60 rounds) and a fixed, reinforced flask. Radomski "Łuknik" points out that the usage of the unique feature of the MSBS-5,56 system, i.e. the "modality of the structure", can easy be transformed into a standard carbine.
Next order from Polish factory
Radom plant has been providing the Polish military with typical MSBS Grot rifles for respective years. Since 2016, the Armed Forces Agency has ordered a full of 984 sets with a full net value of over PLN 9.7 million.
