In an interview with PAP, the deputy head of the Ministry of interior Affairs and Administration, Wiesław Leśniakiewicz, was asked - in connection with the draft civilian Protection Act - about money for the construction and renovation of places of refuge, for which local governments are to be responsible. "The State Fire Service carried out an urgent examination of facilities that could possibly meet the minimum conditions related to the protection of the population in the event of a conventional attack. A study has been prepared, but **to make certain that the protection site meets the basic requirements related to this kind of facilities, we would like to re-inspect these facilities**. This time in relation to the prepared regulation of the Minister of Interior and Administration regarding the method and operational conditions of protective structures," Leśniakiewicz emphasized.
