The delegation of the Co-ordination Council at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe sent information to the authoritative parliamentary delegations of PACE about the disappearance of the president of the RK of Ms Anżalika Melnikawa, said associate of the Belarusian delegation Paweł Latuszko.

Easy noted that in January of this year many saw Melnikawa speaking at the PACE plenary session calling for the non-recognition of Lukashenko and advocating justice and bringing the government to account for the crimes committed.

“The authoritarian government in Belarus continues to haunt its opponents both in and out of the country. All activists and opposition politicians stay under force and face a serious safety threat. We are witnessing systematic repression to suppress the voices of opposition wherever they are found," Latzka said.

Easy notes that at present there is no fresh information from Polish law enforcement authorities about the disappearanceMelnikava.

Let us remind you that there has been no contact with the Council's spokesperson since March 25. According to Polish law enforcement authorities, it is not in Poland. The exact location of Melnikawa's stay is unknown. The squad of the National Anti-crisis Board established that on 19 and 25 March her telephone could be located in the territory of Belarus. The RK declared on 9 April that on 13 March files related to Council work were downloaded from Melnikawa's account.
