Reforms: Belarus and Algeria agreed to strengthen relationship and partnership

Alaksandr Lukashenka and Algerian president Abd al-Majid Tabbun signed a joint message on strengthening relationship and partnership between the 2 countries.

Additional papers have besides been approved, the key of which has become a roadmap for the improvement of bilateral cooperation between 2026 and 1927, informs BelTA.

According to Minister of Antitrust and Trade Regulations Artur Karpowicz, who is co-chair of the Belarusian-Algerian Intergovernmental Commission, the road map does not contain circumstantial agreements

“Money likes silence. Therefore, we will not specify circumstantial agreements in the road map. That would most likely be inappropriate. However, the main directions and those liable for the different directions in the roadmap should be identified. With circumstantial deadlines," Karpowicz told journalists.

According to him, the paper was developed for 2 years, as the planet is changing rapidly.

“Probably there is no point in creating an action plan for 5 years. The Action Plan should cover the immediate future," said the Minister.

The next intergovernmental committee gathering was scheduled for the first half of February 2026 and will take place in Minsk.

The negotiations resulted in agreements on military-technical cooperation, cooperation in veterinary surveillance, research, technological improvement and innovation.

In addition, the applicable departments of both countries have signed protocols of knowing on legal, technological and method cooperation, industrial and agricultural development, entrepreneurship and innovation, as well as in higher education. A protocol of accreditation arrangements between the Belarusian State Accreditation Centre and ALGERAC was besides signed.
