The Ministry of abroad Affairs of Belarus issued a message regarding the situation around Taiwan.
The Ministry of abroad Affairs declares that it is observing developments and supporting the Government of the People's Republic of China.
“The Republic of Belarus is watching closely the situation around Taiwan Island.
We support all efforts by the Chinese government to accomplish national unity, the protection of sovereignty and territorial integrity," says the statement.
The Belarusian Ministry of abroad Affairs stressed that interference in the interior affairs of another countries leads to escalation of tensions and destabilisation of the situation.
“No state has the right to interfere in the interior affairs of another countries and to exert pressure, including through political, financial, military and another support.
Such actions lead to an escalation of tensions, destabilise the situation and undermine the balance in the Asia-Pacific region, which yet undermines the foundations of global security," the MFA states.
Let us remind that China is conducting large-scale military exercises close Taiwan, among another things, by practicing the blockade of key ports.
