In September Belarus increased its exports of petrol to Russia by rail 4 times. This information was provided by the agency Reuters citing its sources.
According to agency information, Belarusian refineries sent 49 000 tonnes of petrol to Russia last month. 33 000 tonnes of diesel were besides delivered.
The transit of Belarusian gasoline through Russia to seaports amounted to 140 1000 tons, which represents an increase of 1% compared to August. At the same time, the Agency estimates that the volume of transhipments has fallen to 1.17 million tonnes in 9 months –40% compared to the same period last year due to a decrease in processing.
The increase in supply of Belarusian fuel to the Russian marketplace is taking place in the context of many Ukrainian attacks on refineries in Russia. The government of the Russian Federation has already introduced restrictions on exports of petrol and diesel. Fuel shortages are observed in any regions of the country. Local authorities are taking action to stabilise the market.
