Proceedings against Joanna Senyszyn
Ladies and gentlemen,
On 25 September 2023, court proceedings (the erstwhile deadline was cancelled) will begin in the Gdańsk territory Court from the suit filed by the Association of Families of Cursed Soldiers and members of the families of the Non-violent Soldiers against Joanna Senyszyn. The action concerns false, hurtful opinions about the Soldiers Cursed posted by the MP on social media. The subject of the suit is 13 posts that Joanna Senyszyn posted on her Twitter profile.

The Cursed Soldiers' household Association and members of the Non-violent Soldiers' families, supported by the Good Name Reduction, filed in April 2019 a suit against Joanna Senyszyn for violating individual property.
In the last fewer years Joanna Senyszyn has placed on her profile posts, in which she repeatedly insulted the memory of the Cursed Soldiers – people who frequently fought for independent Poland by sacrificing their lives. 1 specified translation is the entry in which Joanna Senyszyn in peculiarly harsh words offended the memory, activity and honor of the Cursed Soldiers. A erstwhile MP wrote: “Cursed are not soldiers, but bands of social outcasts, workers, and frustrateds waiting for the 3rd planet War. They murdered 5,000 civilians, including 187 children, looted, raped, tortured, intimidated Poles rebuilding the country. Their vacation is simply a public mockery of Polish citizens. It will be abolished."
"Soldiers of the Cursed" are Polish soldiers, with an eagle in the crown on a cap, frequently a ryngraph on the chest, or God in the heart. Those who started the fight for Homeland not in 1944/45, together with the mastery of our country by the second russian occupier, only in September 1939 in the defensive war against Germany and the Soviets. Many joined conspiracy structures during the German occupation. At the time, they swore their oath of allegiance to the Republic, and the values of “God, Honor, Homeland” were firmly defended. Although the direct fight against Germany and the Soviets was not possible, due to the strength of enemy armies, the steadfast heroes found a way to defend Poland and fight for the freedom of the Homeland. The power of the Polish underground inactive inspires admiration and appreciation for thousands of Polish patriots united around the highest value – Homeland. Many unbreakable after the war, erstwhile the National Army was dissolved, for example, belonged to the organization (e.g. the National Army opposition Movement, the National Citizen Army, or the Vilnius National Army District), which remained in the conspiracy and carried on independent activities, fighting the communist occupier.
For many of them, the fight against the communist power under the russian government ended dramatically, they made the highest sacrifice – they gave their lives, remaining loyal to the oath of allegiance to the Homeland.
Ladies and gentlemen,
As you know, Reduta has been striving since the beginning of its existence to fight past counterfeiting and to spread a actual image of Poland's past. The case against Joanna Senyszyn, who has for many years insulted and accused the memory of the “Non-violent Soldiers” - Polish patriots, murdered, tortured during investigations or killed during fighting and pacification actions and buried in unknown places at night. The absolute cruelty of the communist apparatus aimed at members of the anti-communist opposition movement, in the vast majority of the National Army soldiers and the National Armed Forces, who after the German business continued the armed conflict against the fresh occupier – the Soviet-backed communists – had circumstantial objectives: the extermination of the most active and efficient members of the nation, so that there were no leadership layers in the puppet communist-captained state called PRL.
As past shows, despite the crimes committed against the Cursed Soldiers, intense efforts to erase their existence from the memory of the nation and propaganda campaigns aimed at rooting the belief that they were bandits and criminals, the efforts of the PRL authorities failed to do anything. Poles did not forget their heroes – the memory of them and the fact about their sacrifice survived and will continue.
Let us not let the memory of the “Cursed Soldiers” be abused! Let us not let the historical fact be falsified and manipulated! Together we are able to counteract defamation of Polish heroes.
