Record wellness measures – in 2024 we will allocate PLN 190 billion

Every year we increase funds from the national wellness budget – in 2024 we planned a evidence of PLN 190 billion. This is 2.5 times more than our predecessors in 2015. Thanks to taxation sealing, we are allocating funds to implement government wellness care programmes. These include free medications for children and seniors, or deficiency of limits to doctors specialists for all patients. Additionally, hospitals can buy the essential equipment and local governments modernize or build fresh medical facilities. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki visited Tomaszów Lubelski, where the infirmary will be expanded. For this purpose, the authorities will receive nearly PLN 89 million from the state budget.

The wellness of Poles is 1 of our priorities, which is why we constantly improve the functioning of wellness protection. all year we increase resources for the treatment of Poles. In 2015 77.2 billion PLN was spent on the wellness of Poles. In 2023 we allocated PLN 170.3 billion to this purpose. In the budget for 2024 we planned a evidence amount of over PLN 190 billion.

The increased resources in the national budget have allowed us to destruct the limits to professionals for all patients and introduce free medicines for elder 75+. Under #NewConcretes The free drug program has been expanded for another 2 age groups:

  • children and adolescents up to the age of 18,
  • people 65 years of age or older.

Extension of the infirmary in Tomaszów Lubelski

After the war, thanks to the actions of manager Dr. Janusz Peter, the infirmary was enlarged and upgraded. In the late 1950s it became 1 of the largest in Poland. It presently has 274 beds, but that will shortly change. The infirmary has already been planned to expand, which will cost over PLN 111 million. Nearly PLN 89 million will come from the state budget.

Almost 90 million PLN from the budget – previously this money was completely outside the possibilities of the Polish budget. And the answer is simple – in all corner of Poland specified investments, whether in road or in wellness care, education, education or fire-fighting houses, cultural houses – are possible due to the fact that we repaired the budget of the Polish state – said the head of the Polish government.

18-20 1000 patients are treated annually in the infirmary in Tomaszów Lubelski. Thanks to the expansion of the hospital, which will be financed by 80% of the Polish state budget, it will be possible to execute treatments and surgical operations which have not been performed before.
