Recertification of KPP – week of force for the right purpose

Again in the mouth

This was the 4th time I visited the Naval Training Center in Ustka. And the another 1 is very close to first aid. 3 years earlier, for the first time in this place I had the chance to participate most likely in the most demanding course of my life, which I mentioned in the entry – KPP – 2 weeks in the mouth that gave me a hard time. This time it was only a week before we were re-certified by KPP.

The happiest compartment on the train

I have traditionally taken the train to Uska itself. Although it may be worth mentioning Słupsk, from which the driver of the military bus took us to Cadet. But before we got there, the road truly passed in a happy atmosphere, due to the fact that I was only alone for a while. I took off from Nałęczów and after a while I started finishing the entry – 16 Warsaw Half Marathon – start and large surpriseI took part in it 2 days earlier. And to make it even happier on Friday and Saturday before the run I visited 13th Warsaw Beer Festival – a relation with “slip”.

I had the first and only halt at East Station in Warsaw. It was so cheerful that there was no information at all on which platform the train was approaching Słupsk. However, direct communication with Marcin, who boarded the train at Central Station gave a solid safety valve in this situation. Earlier on this train was Michał, who in turn got into it in Łódź. We got together in 1 compartment rather rapidly for a while, but only for a while, due to the fact that we besides needed a small rest.

It was truly fun from Gdynia station, erstwhile 2 Anas and Krzysiek, called Bin Laden, joined us. Robert – Komandos was driving with them on the train, but in a completely different part of it, after the change he besides found himself in a completely different part of our train. Since the “old” crew met, it could not have happened without memories. We had so much fun, we almost didn't halt laughing. Which, as it turned out later, was just an introduction to a large time after class and shared integration.

Recertification of the NPP

In fact, that's what I should focus most on in this entry. About the KPP course itself, what it looks like and what it consists of a small more you can read by clicking on the link I placed in the first paragraph. Recertification of the NPP is the renewal of the eligibility for first aid, and at the same time the privileges and the title of a lifeguard. due to the fact that according toRegulation of the Minister of wellness of 19 March 2007the certificate of obtaining the title of lifeguard is valid for a period of 3 years from the date of its issue.

As a general rule, the re-certification of the KPP consists in joining the examination – theoretical and then practical. Which is precisely the same form as erstwhile you complete the full course. The examination shall be carried out in the same way and shall cover the same elements. The theoretical part shall be carried out in the form of a test, after a affirmative consequence has been obtained, the lifeguard shall be admitted to the applicable examination, which shall be the performance of selected tasks checking the procedure under qualified first aid.

Time to get to the “robot”

The KPP course is not a trifle, so we expected it to be hard from the beginning. Already at the very beginning, erstwhile Peter saw us – he was our main teacher on the course 3 years ago, he collapsed. With a appropriate only snack and a large condition of sarcasm, he said it would be a breakdown. The explanation was almost not at all during the course of the class, which we were to remember ourselves. From the beginning, the attitude was almost exclusively to practice and random questions from instructors.

The first surprise, though it was not entirely the "pumping" of Ani. Relax, don't worry, not our friends, but the small Annes. These ladies had sensors to convey feedback on how we conduct RKO. On the first approach, we only focused on the pressures, and I'm arrogant to remind you that I've achieved 100% of the compression efficiency and the perfect pace, due to the fact that it's 110 per minute. The surprise was truly great, due to the fact that although rather frequently I deal with phantoms, the last time I had a sensor I had 3 years ago in CSWM in Ustka.

Without making it easier for us to learn, the instructors did not go easy, but immediately went “fat”. Full of fantoms, that is, limbs, artificial blood and lots of toys to use. erstwhile I compose toys, I mean all the equipment of the PSP R1 bag. A set for passive oxygen therapy with oxygen bottle and all its instrumentation, all kinds of respiratory equipment. And besides securing a wide spectrum of injuries from the banal ones, to those truly serious and requiring perfect behavior. To respond correctly in a crisis situation.

Although not everything was easy and apparent – we took the course equally 3 years ago together, we faced the tasks we were faced with an open helmet. The review of the NPP was made by this method and step by step. And the atmosphere, let's call it the "positive box of ridiculers", allowed for fast detection of errors and shortcomings in this area. The instructors did not give a discount fare, and we learned much from each other. And the best proof of that is that even erstwhile we had a break for a proverbial sandwich, we stayed with the phantom to take another approach to the problem.

Perhaps the reader of this entry seems to think that everything went truly smoothly, due to the fact that that would be the way it would look for outsiders. However, the approach to the exam itself was as stressful as 3 years ago, or possibly even more. That's erstwhile we got ourselves into 2 teams. And almost from the beginning of the course we worked this way for part of the applicable exam. This time we were thwarted by these plans due to the fact that we counted the practice in randomly created three-man teams. Instructors on a random hit caught decently solved tests from the theoretical part, thus compiling teams. immense surprise! In little than a minute, roles had to be determined and submitted to them.

They all worked solidly on the days before the exam, resulting in a affirmative consequence of the exam. An additional bonus was that we know each another rather well in this group and frequently meet together at trainings and conferences. With any people I was at all my courses in CSWM, with others I met in Toruń or Wrocław in training centres there. Thus, we had common trust in what we were doing, and we barely had to communicate with words. Everyone knew what was his responsibility, no substance what his function was. Whether he was appointed as head of command, head of command, or a proverbial equipment.

Best staff

Head of Training from the Naval Training Centre in Ustka – Commander Tomasz Kosakowski all time we came to the courses tried to supply us with the best possible conditions to gain fresh cognition and skills. Working with specified a individual is pure pleasance and chance to learn from the best. I'm glad we could meet again, so I hope another 1 happens as shortly as possible.

A good training centre can't be without the best staff, and it's in the mouth that has the best. Gentlemen Maciej and Peter, both in the rank of Petty Officer mats. While they were playing a passionately cut gag during training, their facial muscles did not even decision on the skill exam itself, professionalism above everything. With Piotr, I had the pleasance of training twice, the first time during the full course of the KPP 3 years ago, the second time during the autumn method training course – of course at the Naval Training Centre in Ustka.

Again, a word about Andrew

Who read my erstwhile account of the visit to the Baltic – Training and methodology course at CSMW in the mouthHe already knows something about Andrew. This time, I'll put in a word about him too. Why? due to the fact that I've been able to encourage him to leave again and deepen his cognition here. virtually a fewer days before the start of my recertification, he himself returned from a full first aid qualified course. That makes 2 of us in school with the title of lifeguard. We're both gymnasts, we're both teaching the basics of rescue at school.

Walks by the beach

It is not only learning that a man lives on specified a course, and we frequently utilized the afternoons off to walk with the ustky beaches. The first 3 years ago wasn't peculiarly impressive. If I remember correctly, it was very calm and strangely warm for the end of March. Only subsequent exits, together with the nomen omen with subsequent trips to courses allowed to gain tremendous respect for the forces of nature and what the Baltic can present itself. Sometimes quiet, another times angry, he'd want to rip your head off.

Despite all this, we walked respective times, regardless of weather, along the beach towards Ustka, and in the return direction, which is Ladowa. And this 1 can truly surprise you. Episodes with fine sand, stones, mixed, sometimes hard as concrete, and any in the rough. Walking it is never boring. We were always impressed by night shooting at the sea with anti-aircraft kits erstwhile we returned for a fish or a cookie from Uska. And we had the chance to look respective times back to our accommodation.

Two ‘wales’

During 1 of those trips, we planned a walrusing. Although the word "spontane action" would sound better. Kamil threw the password to jump into the Baltic for a refreshing bath. Initially, there were more volunteers, but already on the beach itself it turned out that only the 2 of us were prepared for this action. And those who were with us, seeing our preparations, looked at us like we were crazy. The first entrance was a real surprise to me. What I felt was like pricking hundreds of needles into my muscles. Not cold, just pricking needles. The second entrance after a fewer minutes was truly pleasant. Muscles responded well and felt a pleasant chill. After all this action, we changed rapidly and interestingly, we all marched along the beach to Uska for another fish.

Fish likes...

You most likely thought the fish liked to swim. In our mentality, we have coded that a fish needs a drink. In this case, specifically the port in Ustka and its immediate surroundings, the fish likes unobvious places. It is known that if you enter a renowned restaurant for dinner or dinner, you must pay accordingly for what they will give us and what conditions we eat. And so it will be in case COLUMBUS Tavern Ustka – Restaurant. The food looks like it is eaten with eyesight, and the same place has a large climate.

But you can eat much cheaper and equally tasty in places not obvious. The best example of this is the port wharf and the Kobo restaurant, where fish dishes were prepared by a very good old lady. Whenever we waited for our orders, and we were there respective times, we could besides number on a happy conversation. As for the dishes themselves, although served very simply and on paper plates, they tasted delicious. It was akin in another restaurant next door in Mar-Hub – simplicity in the application and equally good taste of the fish served.

Looking from above

Ustka is simply a port town and someway a unusual coincidence in the course of my erstwhile 3 trainings at CSWM I did not announcement the conspicuous red brick building to the right of exit from the port. I decided to make up for it, and I managed to get Kinga and Robert to visit it. Concrete and metallic steps lead to the top of the characteristic octagonal tower, and the lens layout can be observed through the gallery windows. Anyone who gets on top of it has 2 things guaranteed. The first is an amazing view of the area and the port itself, the second “destroyed” from the wind hairstyle. Unless, like me, you are almost always cut to a proverbial “zero”.

Something sweet.

You know, the fish in the port town had to be. However, is there any another culinary surprise in the mouth? Of course! If you want something sweet, go ahead. Caffe Mistral. At this point they have a fewer points in the city and in everyone it is truly pleasant and climatic. And among the various versions of coffee and another beverages, you can besides find excellent sweet desserts. This is our “cursive” discovery erstwhile it comes to coming to the sea, all time we effort to get there for something tasty.

Boarders

I mentioned this before – not only is the discipline of man alive. Especially in its applicable performance and sometimes request to do a reset. In addition to the beach walks to Uska we introduced another crucial evening rule. This was a common game of cards. I brought Doble, Virus, Jungle velocity and Saboteur with me, and Kamil Uno. Thanks to this, the evenings were truly entertaining, ending with the fast handsets essential even for the Jungle velocity games.

Most of the company already knew the rules from erstwhile trips. And who had first contact with a given game was given a fast instruction in the form of a game of "open" cards or at a slow pace. Believe me, we had a truly large time. It was so good that soldiers from another courses looked at us, wondering how good you could have fun with only a fewer cards in your hands or trying to catch a totem standing in the mediate of the table.

European Solidarity Centre in Gdańsk

I've already mentioned a lot about what happened during this trip. 1 of the most interesting attractions organized by Head of Training from the Naval Training Centre in Ustka was a journey during the weekend to Gdańsk, more specifically to European Solidarity Centreand. However, I will compose more about visiting this place in a separate entry.

A fewer minutes on the waterfront.

On our way back for a moment, we visited Gdynia, more specifically the waterfront area. We got any time to eat or possibly a small sightseeing. With Marcin, Kamil and Piotr, we utilized both options. After completing our stomachs, we went to a place where they were moored. Lightning ORP, about which I inactive have quite a few unworked material of a erstwhile visit to this place and Gift of Pomerania. At the end of this walk I realized that virtually 1 step distant from them is located Gdynia Aquarium. If I had known earlier, I would have no uncertainty looked into him for a fast tour. I'm amazed I didn't see this place 3 years ago.

It's all crazy.

I couldn't aid but mention a fewer words about the teachers' crew. It's truly uncommon to meet specified positively twisted people, in specified a large group, in 1 place and time. As I mentioned earlier with any I meet regularly at various courses and trainings. any I saw again after 3 yearsI'll take a break. The days spent in the mouth were sometimes devoted not only to learning and perpetuating previously acquired skills. It was besides a large chance to exchange experiences. Long conversations about how we conduct classes, or how we work with uniforms.

What do I request all this for?

I say you're wondering why I request all these training courses and trips? Just for the paperwork? Well, no! The efficient and effective provision of first aid is 1 of the most crucial skills that all human being should have. Just what I can tell my students at school. I besides had a chance to test myself in real action erstwhile I fought another witnesses for the life of a motorcyclist after a road accident. There was besides aid to the individual who rolled up in the car, or virtually the day after arriving from the recertification to aid the older female who fainted, had shortness of breath, and severe chest pain. Despite the advanced levels of adrenaline in this situation, the experience gained allows you to cool your head. This in turn allows effective provision of assistance.
