Polish politicians firmly believe that it is adequate to change the rules so that the problems affecting the Polish economy cease. In spite of the optimism associated with the work on deregulation – very needed work – what is harmful to our companies is rather well. Here are 2 examples virtually from the last fewer days.

FAKRO don't want to go to fresh Sacz, but they want to go to the US.
FAKRO, the winner of the "Now Poland" Emblem and 1 of the global tycoons in the production of roof windows and attics announced that its fresh plant would open in the United States, and this year. FAKRO CEO Ryszard Florek did not hide bitterness – for 4 years he sought that the mill could operate in Nowy Sącz. The plant was not created due to authoritative aversion and indolence," the businessman emphasizes. As he points out, officials and representatives of the local administration acted completely differently: they accepted the investment with open hands.
On the 1 hand, we can be arrogant that the Polish brand with global reputation opens bets on another continents. Unfortunately, there remains a sense of bitterness: Poland has lost a lot. respective 100 jobs, and possible earnings will be lost by hundreds of smaller and larger cooperative companies. All due to the fact that local officials wanted to show who was the most important.
So we have the promises of the Prime Minister, we have the first draft laws, we have promising conclusions from the work of Rafał Brzoski. I do not uncertainty that at the top, from the Prime Minister and the ministers starting, there is simply a sincere desire to end practices that harm the market, entrepreneurs and yet all taxpayers. However, according to the proverb, we stumble not over mountains, but over molehills. Even the best regulations will not be full effective if we do not change the mentality of officials and those who form the law.
The ban on pyrotechnics will destruct the full industry
For here in the Sejm, erstwhile again, the issue of banning the usage of pyrotechnic articles stood on the agenda. Although modern solutions in the form of light drones, including those that can be utilized in closed spaces, are increasingly entering the Polish market, but conventional pyrotechnic effects are inactive popular.
There is no uncertainty that specified an issue as the usage of pyrotechnics should be decently regulated, from strict enforcement of the ban on sales and usage by minors to the application of the essential restrictions. However, the full ban, which is advocated by any NGOs and parliamentarians, raises doubts.
Opponents of the ban indicate that this will make a black marketplace for illegally imported pyrotechnics from abroad, dangerous and without certificates. They besides indicate a fiscal and economical dimension. According to the current KPMG report, the pyrotechnic manufacture generates turnover of PLN 769 million. The sale of fireworks alone translates into about PLN 94 million in VAT revenues, and additional taxes, specified as CIT and PIT, related to the employment of employees and business activities increase this value. The overall impact of the sector on the economy in 2023 amounted to around PLN 279 million gross value added and about PLN 76 million wages paid.
Prime Ministers, officials and Members
The ban will mean the elimination of many companies importing certified products, the elimination of jobs and the simplification of taxation revenues to the state budget. Parliamentarians should so be aware of this decision. Just as officials blocking the establishment should have the consequences for the local community and municipal budget before their eyes.
Returning to FAKRO: it is hard to find a common denominator for specified ideas and for deregulation, or for what Prime Minister Donald Tusk late mentioned – for the conscious preference of the Polish business. Rafał Brzoska noted that in Polish realities the abroad company has much easier than the Polish company. Unfortunately, Richard Florek personally found out.
Therefore, let us not only change regulations, but above all human consciousness.
