"Putin's ambition core". Why Donbas is so important

Donbas in the east of Ukraine is 1 of the main goals of Russian leader Vladimir Putin. These are Lugansk and Donetsk circuits, where in 2014 Ukrainian forces fought pro-Russian separatists. There are respective key factors that make this region peculiarly crucial to the Kremlin and Putin himself.
