Rafał Karaś: The Phenomenon of the March of independency – the voice of unity and the revival of values

Every year, on 11 November, the streets of Warsaw are filled with white and red flags. Songs, prayers, generations going hand in hand – grandparents, parents, children. The independency March is not just a manifestation of patriotism. The phenomenon of this event involves more than just the number of participants – it is simply a return to sources, to a community based on family, tradition and faith.

From protest to community

Even a fewer years ago Independence March was a niche event, organised by environments that were then called ‘radical’. present it is the largest cyclical patriotic assembly in Europe. It includes people with different views – employees, entrepreneurs, students, clergymen, families with children. Moreover, young people are increasingly joining, who alternatively of cosmopolitan slogans choose pride from Polishness.

This shows that Poles – despite differences – inactive want a community based on values. The independency March has become a space where people from different backgrounds meet not to fight but to celebrate. Not against individual – but behind something: Behind Homeland, family, religion and sovereignty.

Reconciliation in white and red

The phenomenon of March besides relies on its emotional charge. Although the media have frequently attempted to represent him as a march of division, the reality is different. It's a celebration of peace and national pride that teaches that patriotism doesn't should be aggressive. I saw older people with tears in their eyes saying, “I never thought I'd see so many young people with the Polish flag again.”

The march became a bridge between generations – a symbol that freedom is not only a word from the book of history, but a commitment to the future. It's besides a reminder that you can love your homeland without hating anyone. A actual patriot does not build walls – he builds a community of spirit.

Family and values at the centre of attention

Every year we observe that the March of independency is becoming more and more like a household holiday. In addition to reconstruction groups and Kombatant environments march families with children in wheelchairs, students carrying school flags and scouts. This evidence is that right-wing and conservative values are not anachronism – they are alive and needed.

In the planet where relativism is promoted, Poland remains a bastion of conventional values. Family, work, religion – these 3 pillars inactive form the foundation of our identity. Today, these values become a mention point for an expanding number of citizens.

Poland is in us

The Phenomenon of independency March is no coincidence. It is an answer to the request for pride, sense and community in a planet of chaos. Poles understood that freedom is not given erstwhile and for all – it must be nurtured.

That's why we go together all year. Not from hatred, but from love for Poland. due to the fact that the real strength of our nation lies not in divisions, but in that despite differences – we all carry the same white-red flag.

See you on the march,

Rafał Karaś
