Celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Uprising Multinational North East Corps were held on Thursday at the ft of Wałów Chrobry in Szczecin. Representatives of all the countries that formed the Corps took part in the ceremony, and present they are alleged framework countries. Poland was represented by Deputy Minister of National Defence Stanisław Wzątek, Germany – Minister of National Defence Boris Pistorius, and Denmark – Deputy Head of Defence Ministry Frank Trojahn. The Lithuanian defence minister Laurynas Kasčiūnas and commander of the Allied NATO Force Command in Brunssum, Gen. Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, besides came to Szczecin. There were no shortages of erstwhile unit commanders, politicians and representatives of states that are part of the Corps.

The importance of participation in the structures of the Corps for Poland was discussed by Deputy Minister of Defence Stanisław Wzątek. 25 years ago it was raining heavy, but the weather for our allied cooperation was very good. During these 25 years, the Polish army underwent a profound transformation – he emphasized. “In addition to military alliances, we have common values based on respect. The Corps was formed as an embodiment of this idea. It gives us the chance to show both in peace and in times of crisis that we are creating a strength that allows us to defy any threat. It is all the more crucial that there is simply a full-scale war in Ukraine," said the Deputy Minister.
The ceremony was besides an chance to sign a letter of intent on introducing Lithuania to the Corps framework states. "We welcome further proposals for the improvement of the Corps. We are ready for Lithuania to function as a full participant. The Corps Command was established on 18 September 1999, in the year of Poland's accession to the North Atlantic Pact. Together they were created by Poland, Denmark and Germany. present its strength is as much as 20 states of the North Atlantic Alliance and allied.
