At the age of 49, Jacek Magiera, a erstwhile footballer, and later a trainee, died. From July 2025 he was the second coach of the Polish squad in the selector staff of Jan Urban.
As a footballer, he performed in Rakowa Częstochowa, Legia Warszawa and Widzew Łódź. He then worked as a trainer in respective extraclass clubs and junior national teams.
"The family, friends and close Jack Magiera of the PZP expresses his deepest sympathy," the federation said.
