Putin spoke of gratitude to Hamas during gathering with released hostages

Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin has met with Russian citizens freed from captivity in the Gaza Strip and their families. "The fact that you are now free is the consequence of Russia's long-standing unchangeable relations with the Palestinian people," Vladimir Putin told erstwhile hostage Alexander Trufanov. He besides expressed "gratitude to the leadership and political wing of Hamas."
