

The KRRiT adopted a resolution on the definition of the rules for reporting to public broadcasting units on spending received funds on a public mission, informed the National Broadcasting Council.
The KRRiT communication states that "The resolution requires the company to submit to the National Council information on the spending of proceeds from subscription fees in 2025 on the public mission carried out, by the 5th day of the period in which the next tranche of receipts is to be transferred".
19 December 2023. The Sejm adopted a resolution "on restoring the legal order and impartiality and reliability of public media and the Polish Press Agency". At the time, the Minister of Culture Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz, acting on the basis of the provisions of the Commercial Companies Code, dismissed the current presidents of the Management Boards of Polish Television, Polish Radio and Polish Press Agency and the Supervisory Board. The Minister set up fresh supervisory boards for those companies that set up fresh boards.
On 23 December 2023 president Andrzej Duda reported that he vetoed a bill prepared by the fresh government about the budget, which provided, among others, for measures for the public media for the following year. Sienkiewicz on 27 December 2023 decided to put TVP, Polish Radio and PAP in liquidation. A akin decision was made on December 29 against 17 regional companies of the Polish Radio station.
In February, KRRiT decided in its resolution that the RTV subscription funds were to go to a court deposit. She felt that the payment of the subscription funds to the public media would take place after the final decision of the registration court on the liquidation of these companies.
Subscription receipts began to receive only those companies whose liquidations were officially entered in the National Court Register, including Radio for you, Radio Poznań, Radio Lublin, Radio Katowice, Radio Rzeszów, Radio Łódź. At the end of November 2024, the KRRiT adopted a resolution on the transfer of money from the subscription of returned court deposits to Radio Białystok. The money was to be sent straight to the radio bill.
The deficiency of subscription money has caused financial problems for public media, which have long demanded that the president of the National Council unlock the funds due to them. Public media companies that did not receive money from KRRiT, the government supports grants.
