The final word for the camp will belong to the Lithuanian parliament, but the head of MON Kosiniak-Kamish noted that Polish commanders are curious in exercises on the fresh camp. Polish engineering troops could besides engage in its construction.
The investment will be carried out exclusively on the Lithuanian side. The Lithuanian Minister of Defence assured that the task would be conducted in a transparent manner, and all information provided to the Polish side on an ongoing basis. As he pointed out, the field is crucial not only for Lithuania, but besides for the safety of Latvia and Estonia and the full east flank of NATO.
