We, representatives of Polish movement to defend human life and household rights, gathered before the Wonderful Image of Our woman of Czestochowa:

1. We call on the Government of the Republic of Poland to guarantee compliance with the constitutional right to life

In Polish hospitals, the number of abortions performed on the basis of the reason for the danger of intellectual wellness of the parent increases. Following the judgement of the Constitutional Court of 22 October 2020, which repealed the eugenic premise, this psychiatric condition became a wide gateway for legal abortions in Polish hospitals. Their number increased from 159–161 in 2022 to 846 in 2025. Experts, hospitals and social organizations agree – a psychiatric condition, including the mother's adaptation disorders, replaced the erstwhile eugenic condition. On the basis of guidelines, the Minister of wellness of Isabella Leschina, based on the intellectual wellness condition of the mother, can kill unborn children practically until the end of pregnancy. Today, 1 doctor certificate (including e.g. psychiatrist) is adequate as a basis for abortion, without second opinion and without verification. Specialists emphasize that adaptive disorders, depression or pregnancy anxiety are natural and treatable pharmacologically or psychotherapistically. We request that the guidelines of the Minister of wellness of 2024 be withdrawn, treatment of intellectual illness during pregnancy, and the right to a conscience clause without financial penalties for hospitals.

2. We call for the introduction of mandatory "Health Education" plans to be blocked and the restoration of "Family Life"

Due to many media reports of the introduction of “Health Education” as a compulsory subject from 1 September 2026, we request compliance with the rights of Polish parents and we remind that the Constitution of the Republic of Poland in Article 48(1) and Article 53(3) expressly guarantees parents the right to rise children according to their own beliefs and the right to supply them with a moral and spiritual teaching compatible with these beliefs. Despite the tremendous promotional action of the ministry and its subordinate agendas, the vast majority of parents negatively assessed the "Health Education" programme basis and did not agree to children's participation in this school year. Parents only 30 percent of Polish students decided to participate their children in these classes. This means that "Health education" in its current form is in gross contradiction with the strategy of values and beliefs of the overwhelming majority of parents of school-aged children. We do not agree to the organization demoralization of children and young people through the removal of sex issues from the context of matrimony and family. This is antisocial and exacerbating the dramatic demographic crisis.

3. We ask the president of the Republic of Polandfor the pardon of Veronica Krawczyk

We ask the president of the Republic of Poland, Dr. Karol Nawrocki, to pardon Mrs. Weronika Krawczyk. We ask the president to pardon Mrs. Weronika Krawczyk, the parent of 3 children, convicted of publishing online an account of a visit to a gynecologist who urged her to have an abortion, based on the unconstitutional law and its misdiagnosis. Mrs. Weronika was sentenced to 3 months of community service and to the costs of the trial. The court besides ordered her to apologize to the doctor. This judgement raises general public opposition due to its gross injustice. It creates a dangerous precedent that can discourage patients from exchanging opinions. Access to a variety of opinions is an essential component of the modern marketplace for medical services and citizens have the right to freely exchange information. Giving the president grace would not only be an act of mercy towards the parent of 3 children, but besides an crucial signal of support for the freedom of speech of patients.

4. We powerfully encourage you to participate in the National March of Life on 19 April 2026.

On Sunday, April 19, 2026 the National March of Life will be held in Warsaw. It will begin in Castle Square at 12.30. Earlier, at 11 a.m., Masses will be held in the Archatedal Basilica of St John the Baptist and in the Cathedral Basilica of St Florian the Martyr and St Michael the Archangel. The end is planned at around 3 p.m. The march has for many years been the largest national and Christian manifestation for the defence of life in Poland and 1 of the largest pro-life demonstrations in Europe. May participation in this march be an affirmation of these values and a joyful feast for all for whom they are important. Let it besides be a strong opposition to further attacks on the protection of life from conception, on matrimony as a matrimony of a female and a man, on the rights of parents to rise children, including at school, and on culture with conventional values and patterns encouraging marriage, having children and common love and faithfulness.
