The lawyer General Waldemar Żurek forwarded the president of the European Parliament's request for the consent of the Euro MP Grzegorz Braun to criminal liability.

As the National Prosecutor's Office informs in the communication, it is only possible to bring Grzegorz Braun to criminal liability after obtaining the prior consent of the European Parliament. Braun, as a Euro MP, is entitled to immunity.
The case is dealt with by the Branch Commission for the Investigation of Crimes Against the Polish Nation in Krakow. It is about denying crimes committed in the erstwhile German concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau.
The Prosecutor's Office initiated proceedings from the office to which notifications from another institutions, social organisations and individuals were attached - the investigators indicated in the communication. "The evidence collected in the proceedings justifies adequate suspicion of the Euro MP Grzegorz Braun committing 2 crimes" - we read further.
