Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 prompted Poland to take unprecedented measures to modernise the military in order to grow the defence capabilities of the armed forces and strengthen its deterrence capacity. Consequently, the Polish Navy faces crucial problems, including the outdated fleet and limited successes in modernization caused by insufficient investments.
