date:21 January 2025 Editor: Anna
Prof. Andrzej Nowak, a prominent historian and excellent author, in an exclusive speech on the White Crow channel, told about Donald Trump's household past and resulting geopolitical attitude, including his reluctance to Germany.
“In this household past there is simply a long distance to Germanism”, emphasises prof. Andrzej Nowak and recalls that "The German population is the largest part of migration outside the Anglo-Saxon core of the United States. This is about 50-60 million Americans of German origin.”

Historian reports that the ancestors of the 47th president of the United States emigrated from the German town of Kallstadt lying in the west of the country. Frederick Trump (Drumpf), Donald's grandfather, "With large energy, he took advantage of the chance given by the American regulation from a boot to a millionaire. He did not start as a booty, of course, Frederick Trump, but started with, you can say, activities from the border of the hotel and amusement industry", prof. Andrzej Nowak reports.
According to the historian, Trump’s fresh statements about Canada joining the United States may besides be due to his household history, in which the township of Whitehorse, located in the far north of Canada, was of importance.
“There, having developed his business very much, I think that he could pass on grandpa Trump to his son, and in the chronicle of the household to his grandson, any kind of sentiment to these pioneers, so to speak, times”, explains Prof. Nowak.
" Donald Trump's grandmother's conviction to the home country made the grandparents effort to return to Bavaria in the early 20th century, where it turned out that Grandpa was being prosecuted for evasion of military service in the Bavarian kingdom. And that's why he immediately grabbed his stuff again, this time forever after he emigrated to the United States", explains the historian.
"There's no way Donald Trump has warm feelings for the country of his ancestors. It is this sense that they have been driven distant from there; I am absturbing from why, but this sense of distance towards Germany is very strong. Although the origin is unambiguous after both of the grandparents, I would say German. But here I just wanted to say that already in this household past there is simply a scratch that could seem to have been overlooked or not seen, derived from the views of Donald Trump from his German background. German means pro-German. Nothing more wrong. Already in this household past there is simply a large distance to Germanism”, emphasises Prof. Andrzej Nowak.
