The European Commission proposed on Wednesday to simplify EU rules on alleged CBAM. According to climate commissioner Wopke Hoekstra, the goal is to avoid, for example, the production of washing machines being transferred from Poland outside the EU due to the fact that CBAM will rise the price of washing machines.
