We invitation you to the Pro-Life summertime Academy – five-day workshops and a popular discipline conference for pro-life leaders who want to deepen their bioethic cognition and learn pro-life arguments. Our invitation is addressed especially to leaders, teachers, educators, psychologists, household life advisers and catechestes.
Every day during the Academy lectures, workshops and meetings with interesting guests are held. We usually work by activating methods that make creativity and critical reasoning skills, broaden our perspective, and, most importantly, affect participants and aid us learn cognition and skills.
We learn to actively perceive and talk to those who have different views – always with respect to another man. We want to build a affirmative pro-life message to delight the beauty of life. The workshops last 4 days (Tuesday – Friday), and a popular discipline conference is held on the last day of the Academy (Saturday).
The experience of erstwhile editions shows that participation in the Academy may be a large chance to establish a relation with people with akin views from all over Poland.
– I joined the Academy due to the fact that I am very close to the topics that are being undertaken, especially the subject of non-heteronormatives and how to work with them. In my job, I besides have children's parents who want to change sex, and these parents are lost, so I came here asking how we could accompany them.
said Diana Paulinska, psychologist, sexologist, logotherapist, associate of last year's edition of the Pro-Life summertime Academy.
When asked if she would urge another people to come to the Academy, she replied: – Workshops give first of all specified time to be together. They make us feel that we are not alone in the value field in which we work. Workshops besides give any such, business speaking, networking. They show that we are here together, and these values that we are talking about here, namely being a pro-life, a concrete approach to these topics, are something that is close not only to me individually, but besides to another people who came here. I powerfully urge coming here to learn more about the arguments that are against abortion and in vitro, and to learn how to approach homosexuals.
For another reason Marika Mierzejewska came to last year's Academy. erstwhile asked about him, she replied:
– I came primarily as a parent of teenagers who are entering a hard phase and have many different questions that I cannot answer. I've been looking for smart heads that will be attractive, factual, and substantive in a way that can decision and talk about various bioethical problems. I'm leaving with that knowledge. I leave with ideas and inspirations from others. I hope to convey this cognition not only to my youth at home, but besides to the 1 I work with and learn with.
During workshops and conferences we will discuss the following topics:
- positive education pro-life and building sustainable attitudes for life,
- abortion – pro abortion strategy vs pro-life, manipulations and arguments,
- hormonal contraceptive and day after pill,
- in vitro vs fertility treatment,
- sexual education,
- transgenicism and transsexuality,
- the prevention of pharmacological abortion,
- And others.
Speakers and invited guests, including:
- workshops: Magdalena Guziak-Nowak and Marcin Nowak – members of the Polish Association of Defenders of Human Life, the originator of the Pro-Life summertime Academy, have been active in actions to defend human life for many years,
- dr n. med. Dorota Jarczewska – specialist in household medicine, author of technological studies on hormonal contraception and fetal cell lines
- Dr. Jolanta Przychniewicz – scientist and theologian, provides guidance for parents of children declaring homosexual tendencies,
- dr. Krzysztof Niewiadowski OFMCap – spiritual guardian of the Academy, doctor of moral theology, has been active in the defence of human life for many years,
- And others.
Date and place workshops will take place in Krakow on 1-5 July 2025. Participants will be informed of the exact location. The LAPL will start with dinner on Tuesday 1 July at 1:30 p.m. and end on Saturday 5 July around 5:00 p.m.
Cost:650 PLN (noclegi, food, participation in workshops and conferences). The workshops are co-financed by PSOŻC and participants are so required to participate in all meetings.
Run: workshops will take place from 1 to 4 July, while a popular discipline conference will be held on 5 July with participants in LAPL.
Conditions for recruitment: Records proceed to May 4, 2025. We invitation people aged 18–50. The selection of participants for the Pro-Life summertime Academy is two-stage. delight fill in the form below first. The selection is decided by the organizer after an online conversation.
We provide: accommodation, catering, professional knowledge, competent lecturers, spiritual care, integration meetings. Although the Pro-Life summertime Academy is not a retreat, participants will be able to attend the Holy Mass all day.
Participants should take: ID document, note items (long description and notebook), change footwear or slippers, clothes for variable weather in case of visiting Krakow (raincoat or umbrella, baseball cap or hat), shower flip-flops, toilet utensils, medicines taken, rosary, optionally musical instrument (e.g. guitar, if anyone plays) and "puffs" to cover the cost of additional attractions, specified as trips to Krakow and public transport tickets.
- The Pro-Life summertime Academy (Academy) is organized by the Polish Association of Human Life Defenders based in Krakow (Pro-life.pl) and Polish Association of Teachers and Educators based in Krakow.
- A associate in the Academy shall comply with these Regulations and another provisions in force at the premises of the accommodation centre.
- Recruitment to the Pro-Life summertime Academy is two-stage. The condition for qualification is to complete the electronic participation form by 4 May 2025 and to be positively evaluated by the organiser, the second phase of recruitment. After the associate is qualified by the organiser, he will be informed by email or telephone by the end of May 2025. Details on the confirmation of participation in workshops and further proceedings will be provided to qualified persons by the organiser in an email with information about qualifying for participation in the academy. In the absence of confirmation of participation and/or non-payment, another individual from the list will be invited to participate.
- Persons who are on the reserve list or are not accepted will receive an email message by the end of May 2025. Persons from the reserve list will be kept informed of the possible dismissal of the LAPL site by email or telephone until the workshop begins. The order of contact will be determined by the organiser, it does not substance the order of applications.
- The workshop associate is obliged to participate in all points of the Pro-Life summertime Academy program. Workshops begin on 1 July at 1.30 p.m. and end on 5 July at 5 p.m. There's no way to participate in just part of the class.
- The associate is obliged to take the identity paper with him.
- A associate in the Academy is prohibited from possessing and consuming drugs, alcohol and drugs.
- The organiser shall not be held materially liable for harm caused by the participant.
- The associate undertakes to pay a fee for participation in the Pro-Life summertime Academy, i.e. stay and board of PLN 650. This is simply a condition for qualifying for a workshop.
