State ownership is the worst form of economical regulation, due to the fact that sometimes a single telephone call from a politician is adequate to influence a company's operations. Despite this, there are about 4,000 companies in Poland in which the state has - straight or indirectly - at least 10 percent of the shares. There are no substantive arguments for specified a broad presence of the state in the economy. Also, crucial public goals specified as defence or climate protection are not an argument for stopping privatization. rather the opposite.
