On Wednesday, Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz will talk about the safety of the NATO east flank, east Sentry mission and arms investments. As the head of the MON announced before leaving Poland, during the gathering he will search to strengthen the operation "Eastern Guard".

Władysław Kosiniak – Kamysz, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defence will attend the gathering of NATO Defence Ministers next day in Brussels and the gathering of the abroad Affairs Council in the form of defence ministers (FAC Defence). Prior to departure to Belgium during a press conference at the 1st Transport Aviation Base in Warsaw, the deputy chief of the Polish government informed that the mission will be the main subject in the NATO office Eastern Sentry i.e. an allied consequence to Russian provocations: breach of NATO airspace, disruption of GPS signals, demolition of critical infrastructure at the bottom of the Baltic.

"This is an absolute precedence for us, which requires not only the engagement of the states on the east flank, but of all NATO and European Union countries," stressed the head of the MON.

According to Minister Kosiniak – Kamysz, the task besides requires commitment drone wall, in which all east flank countries must be active and the funds for this should be secured in the fresh budget of the European Union. In the context of Baltic protection, the Deputy Prime Minister stressed that the operation should be strengthened Baltic Sentry, share country-specific procedures in the context of safety of critical infrastructure and maintenance of trade routes.

As the Minister of Defence pointed out, the subject to be discussed during the gathering of the Committee on abroad Affairs will be investments in the Polish and European arms manufacture through SAFE program. The Deputy Prime Minister recalled that Poland is the biggest beneficiary of this programme, and that from 150 billion EUR allocated for the reinforcement of our country is 43 billion 700 million. The head of the MON assured that the government together with the General Staff of the Polish Army and the Armed Forces Agency were preparing for the appropriate usage of these funds.
