On Wednesday, 4 March, Polish president Karol Nawrocki informed of a gathering with the president of the National Bank of Poland, Adam Glapinski, which afraid the improvement of [alternatives for the SAFE programme](https://defence24.pl/defence-policy/Polish-safe-0-instead-of-EU-loans-president-present-own-plan-financing-defence). This proposal was addressed in public by Prime Minister Donald Tusk a day later.
