In our actions we are guided by intergenerational solidarity. The seniors, in a peculiar way, can number on government support. We make certain that the fall of their lives, after years of work, is worthy. In April, the seniors received 13th retirement. In May, the Council of Ministers adopted a bill that introduced the 14th retirement as a benefit paid annually. In July, the bill was signed by the President. Older people can besides benefit from government programs specified as Senior+ or Leki75+. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki met seniors in Waplewo Wielkie.
– I will do everything to improve the lives of seniors in these large areas: material, financial, wellness care and spiritual, cultural, cultural, relations with another man, who would be as beautiful as possible and better be as much as possible," the Prime Minister stressed.



14. Retirement – paid annually
We first retired the 14th in 2021. In 2022, this benefit was again paid to pensioners and pensioners. The government decision will pay fourteen all year. This is another crucial step on the way to improving the destiny of seniors.
– This is possible due to the fact that we have repaired public finances, taken immense money from the Vatov mob, and passed it on to taxation criminals. So securing this life on the material side is ours, my large commitment, which we will continue," the head of the government indicated.
In 2022 we besides introduced a solution that allowed pensioners and pensioners to spare even more. The amount of 13th and 14th pensions was exempt from individual income tax. Additional resources can be allocated to seniors to realize their dreams.
13. Pension – for everyone, regardless of income
As of 2019, 13th retirement has been paid to pensioners and pensioners. This is an additional yearly benefit that all pensioner receives, regardless of income. In April, 9.8 million seniors could enjoy extra money for their regular expenses.
This year the thirteenth was PLN 1588.44, an increase of PLN 250, compared to 2022.
In addition, the benefits will be increased by an index of valorization* , but not little than PLN 250. Benefits will besides be increased by the ratio of valorisation.
The ratio of the weighting of pensions in 2023 is 114.8%.
Government programs activating seniors
We want our seniors to be active and healthy. Thanks to our programs, this is possible. Older people have the chance to meet, talk and various creative activities in their age group.
Senior +
We aid local governments make and keep regular homes and clubs for seniors. In 2015-2022, nearly 1,200 support centres "Senior+" were established in Poland. We have allocated PLN 300 million to the programme.
Active+
We financially support projects that are aimed at elder citizens. Between 2021 and 2020, we funded a full of 630 tasks. As part of these activities, around 170 000 older people received support.
We care about the wellness of seniors
– The full wellness service is being repaired by us in terms of you, too, dear seniors," said the Prime Minister.
In 2016, we introduced the Leki 75+ program. It allows seniors to benefit from free medications, whose list is constantly being expanded. Nearly 4 million pensioners have already saved over 4.5 billion PLN on medicines.
Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki recalled that from 1 January 2024 at the latest, by decision of the government, the programme will be extended for fresh age categories. About 5 million seniors over 65 and 7 million children will benefit from our program. It will benefit 16 million people in full by extending the free medicines programme. It's more money in the wallets of seniors and young families with children!
We besides launched the Home Medical Care Program. It is simply a comprehensive service of distant patient wellness monitoring. The program includes, among others, the measurement of saturation, blood sugar or blood pressure. This allows seniors to feel safer and heal at home.
*The statutory rate of valorisation of benefits is the average yearly price index of consumer goods and services in the erstwhile calendar year increased by at least 20% of the real increase in average wages in the erstwhile calendar year.
