The president of the Republic of Poland signed an amendment to the Law introducing NIS2. What this means for business and management

Karol Nawrocki, president of the Republic of Poland, signed an amendment to the Act on the National Cybersecurity strategy implementing the NIS2 Directive into the Polish legal order, while at the same time directing the selected rules concerning advanced hazard suppliers to follow-up by the Constitutional Court. This means the formal entry of Poland into a new, strengthened government of cybersecurity work – with fresh obligations and severe financial penalties. The amendment provides for severe sanctions. Penalties of up to EUR 10 million or up to 2% of yearly gross may be imposed on key actors.
