Karol Nawrocki stressed that the Russian drone attack of September 10 was a test on respective levels. (...) The procedures worked and this was possible primarily thanks to the commanding staff of the Polish Army – said the President.
He besides pointed out that the test was besides successful "thanks to the unity of the political class and the president of Poland and the Polish government". “We have been in contact with the Prime Minister since the night of September 10 and we met at the Operations Command of Armed Forces Types, the Operations Centre, together with General Klish and there we looked at the improvement of the situation,” said the Head of the Armed Forces.
The president recalled that Article 4 of the North Atlantic Treaty was launched.. He stressed that he had addressed the Prime Minister and that the government had made specified a request. "On that day, I was doing my diplomacy tasks, remaining in contact with the president of the United States, with the Presidents of the Baltic States, with our allies. The Prime Minister, the ministers in his field, the European Union or his partners. Each day he did his job, remaining in touch, of course, with the head of the North Atlantic Alliance Mark Rutte – said Karol Nawrocki.

I firmly believe that first we request to increase investment in air defence and anti-missile defence, both in the acquisition of fresh systems and in the improvement of national technologies," Nawrocki emphasized. He added: "But defence is not only an army, but besides efficient alarm systems, building shelters, informing, training citizens, the willingness of local governments to participate in it," he said.
At the end of the speech, the president called on Poles not to succumb to Russian misinformation. “This war truly is besides happening in the information space. We must not give in to Russian misinformation, which has been saying for 24 hours that drones attacking Polish airspace are Ukrainian to attract Poland into the war. It's just a lie," said Karol Nawrocki.
