Pope Leon XIV accepted president Karol Nawrocki at the audience. The president was accompanied by the First woman and the 2 children. A visit to the Vatican came immediately after a journey to the US, where president Nawrocki met with Donald Trump.
During the visit, the president presented the Pope with a image of Our woman of Gietrzwald, referring to the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the Marian apparitions in Gietrzwald, the only 1 officially recognized by the Church in Poland.
After gathering the Pope, the president spoke to the Vatican Secretary of State of Card. Pietro Parolin and Head of Diplomacy of the Holy See, Archbishop Paul Gallagher. The president stressed the importance of consensus in Polish society – informed the Holy See.
