President Karol Nawrocki announced on Friday the decision to remove Volodymyr Zelensk Order of the White Eagle. The reason is the Ukrainian President's approval to give 1 of the Ukraine Armed Forces units the name "UPA Heroes". It's a strong, symbolic move, and surely uncomfortable diplomatically. But this case is not about convenience. The decision, after consulting the Chapter, informed Karol Nawrocki of his decision in a recording published on the X platform. As he said, he had previously consulted the White Eagle Order Chapter. The president stressed that as head of state he is simply a large master of this award. And this, as he pointed out, means the work to defender the honor of the highest Polish state award. Same obligation
