Poland can become a bridge between Asia and Europe, a place where investors, innovators and exporters from Singapore will make a solid and long-term basis for further action – said president Andrzej Duda at the beginning of the Polish-Singapur Business Forum on Friday.
The President, who took part in his visit to Southeast Asia, stressed that Singapore is simply a country known for its innovation, resilience, strategical economical imagination and, as he estimated, immense economical success.
The president stressed that the Forum considers it a "concrete step" towards strengthening economical ties between Poland and Singapore as leading countries in its regions.
– Since Poland entered the way of unprecedented political and economical transformation in the late 1980s, Asian leaders specified as Singapore have been a function model for us. presently Poland arrives here not only as a partner with prospects for the future, but besides as an economical and political leader in the region of Central and east Europe said the President. According to him, Poland has become 1 of the most dynamic economies in the European Union.

The president pointed out that Singapore is clearly 1 of the most competitive economies in the world, but besides the gateway to Asia and a trusted partner on a global scale. He stressed that Singapore's economical operators realize well what the global value chain is, and their leaders know what scale, innovation and leadership is.
– Singapore is seen not only as a market, but – above all – as a business centre and platform for Polish companies looking for opportunities to mark their presence on the South-East Asia market. Similarly, I believe that Poland can become your bridge between you and Europe, a place where investors, innovators and exporters from Singapore will form a solid and long-term basis for further action said the President. He pointed out that he saw promising possible for cooperation in the areas of industry, the digital economy and innovation.
– Polish engineers, programmers and start-ups from the fin tech manufacture gain designation worldwide. Let's build digital bridges with leading Singaporen innovators in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, electronic commerce and blockchain technology He appealed. According to the President, there is besides possible for Polish-Singapore cooperation in defence technologies and dual-use items, food security, agricultural technologies and transport infrastructure and logistics.
According to Andrzej Duda, Poland is the strategical hub of the Tri-Mortal Initiative, which is at the forefront of the improvement of communication connections in the region between the Baltic Sea, the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea, as well as the "gate" for the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine. – Singapore is simply a planet leader in logistics and port operators. He besides encouraged both Polish and Singaporen entrepreneurs "to think in the long term, to invest on both sides, to learn from each another and to build sustainable, valuable partnerships".
