Charles de Gaulle stayed in Poland from 6 to 12 September 1967. It was a reasonably long visit, during which the French president visited respective cities and met with Poles. The crowds greeted him everywhere. The Communist authorities were very keen to guarantee that the full visit went flawlessly.
