The second historical residence - Belveder - was chosen by Lech Wałęsa or Bronisław Komorowski. The past of Belvedere – a classicist ornament of the Royal way in Warsaw – began almost 500 years ago. In the first half of the 16th century, on the Vistula slope, in the place where present the Belvedere palace rises, most likely was the residence of Queen Bona. The President's castle in Cieszyn Silesia at the sources of the Vistula River was built from 1929 to 1930 in the place of the burnt wooden Habsburg hunting lodge from the early 20th century. He was a gift of the Silesian people to the president of the Republic of Ignacy Mościcki and his successors.
The castle in Wisla is avant-garde work of Polish architectural thought and the artistic period of 20–interwar years. It was designed by Adolf Szyszko-Bohusz in cooperation with Andrzej Pronaszko and Włodzimierz Padlewski.
