On Saturday, the Champions League football final was played in Istanbul, where Manchester City faced Inter.
President Erdogan and the owner of Manchester City, Sheikh Mansour (brother of the UAE President, Mohammed bin Zayed) were not short of the stadium. MbZ himself besides appeared at the VIP lodge.
Although the relations between the UAE and Turkey have been very tense in fresh years, they have slow improved since 2022 and both countries have many ideas for closer cooperation – especially in the field of the economy. Recently, the Emirates ratified an agreement aimed at expanding the value of trade between the UAE and Turkey to $40 billion over the next 5 years.
