President Karol Nawrocki decided to veto a loud amendment to the Animal Protection Act, commonly known as the "chain law". The head of state argues that although the goal is right, the rules are “wrongly written” and detached from agrarian realities. In return, the president filed his own task in the Sejm. The President's decision sparked a fresh installment of the dispute on the Presidential Palace — the government line. Although both sides agree on the request to improve the destiny of animals, they disagree in their implementing details, which are of crucial importance to agrarian residents.
