Andrzej Duda spoke to the U.S. president during a conversation with TV. “ I will never forget what he said to me: “Andrzej, listen, tell me, why is it that the American payer is to keep an American army and safety in a country that is 1 of the richest European states? In fact, an average citizen of this country is richer than an American taxpayer, but 1 of the reasons is that he does not pay for his defence, but all this is happening at the expense of an American taxpayer. After all, this is unfair, why should it be so?”
Interviewer Michał Rachon asked him what Andrzej Duda said. I nodded, due to the fact that why? This is simply a very simple bill, the president replied.
Andrzej Duda was questioned whether Donald Trump meant Germany. However, the president only laughed and added: “He spoke so about a European country.” “There are respective rich European countries that do not pay 2% of their GDP for defence,” Duda noted. He recalled that it has been 11 years since these findings in NATO.
