President Andrzej Duda declared national mourning after the Pope's death

President Andrzej Duda decided that the day of the ceremony of Pope Francis would be the day of national mourning - said president of the global Policy Office Wojciech Kolarski. As he added, the regulation requires a countersignature of the Prime Minister and specified a paper will be forwarded to the NRPM.


"In connection with the death of the Holy Father, president Andrzej Duda made a decision to ceremony day - April 26 - announce national mourning day" - said Kolarski during the Tuesday briefing.

As he added, the presidential decree requires a countersignate of Prime Minister Donald Tusk and specified a paper "soon will be handed over to KPRM by the Chief of Chancellery Minister Margaret Paprocka".
