Spike NLOS is utilized to combat armoured targets, reinforcements, artillery, anti-aircraft systems and naval targets that are 50 km away. “The missiles that we utilized in helicopters have destroyed the targets about 8 km away. We want to rise this advanced border at least 3 times – said Colonel Krzysztof Kwiatkowski of DGRSZ. The test was a complete success.

"This event highlighted the expanding strategical cooperation between the United States and Poland, which further strengthened the collective deterrence capacity on the east NATO flank," concluded Colonel Cain Claxton, officer for media contacts and communication in the US Army. “This joint run not only shows the current operational effectiveness, but besides highlights the possible future direction of integration of Spike NLOS missiles from Polish fleet of AH-64E helicopters Apache, which will increase national and regional defence capabilities," Claxton added.
– The show highlighted the advancement of the ability to give precise punches at long distances, as assessed by representatives of the Israeli company Rafael Advanced defence Systems, creator and maker of Spike NLOS missiles. They stressed that the company indicated its continuing readiness to support the Polish Armed Forces in any undertaking related to the improvement of their combat capabilities, including in cooperation with the Polish defence industry.
Spike NLOS (Non Line Of Sight – off the line of sight) is simply a rocket strategy equipped with an electrooptic head, allows real-time transmission of the image to the operator, so that the mark can be changed after launch. Spike NLOS can be launched from land vehicles, helicopters, ships and ground launchers. The strategy is characterized by advanced precision, flexibility and ability to combat both armoured targets and reinforcements or marine objects.
The Polish military has not bought specified missiles yet, although any time ago Rafael declared the anticipation of producing these weapons in Poland with the transfer of technology. Let us remind that the Israeli company has been cooperating with the Polish company Mesko for years in production Spike LR anti-tank missiles.
