The premiere of the book “The Nation Undefeated” by Prof. Andrzej Nowak
date: November 07, 2024 Editor: Anna

Prof. Andrzej Nowak's latest book of the outstanding historian and author is simply a position "about hope that should never be lost erstwhile it comes to our homeland," explains the author. "The hope is that we must not give up, that we should fight, that we must fight: for our homeland".

In the mediate of a carefully released volume we will find 23 stories about breakthrough moments in Polish past – those during which our fates weighed, due to the fact that the Republic of Poland had in its past both east and west, like the sun, which, although it is set, does not fade forever, but rises again at dawn.

Prof. Andrzej Nowak writes stories about wise and courageous people, but besides about those who, as we know from history, were yet wrong. That is why it is so crucial that we know and remember these events, and that is why everyone who hates Poland tries to ban us from history, fighting it in different ways.

The author of the book “The Nation Undefeated” in his essays opposes discouragement, which can besides appear present against what we are witnessing in Poland. “The answer to the feeling of hopelessness must first be courage: courage of action, uprising, struggle. For example, the Bar Confederates and their followers, Kościuszko insurgents, November 1830, the insurgents of January 1863, up to those brave people who challenged the russian pier and inspired St John Paul II launched a solidarity avalanche," writes Prof. Andrzej Nowak.

The author continues to emphasize the request for courage to think. "The wisdom that builds bold plans, accounts for their strength, seeks allies and means of action, but never gives up the eventual goal: independence," she explains. “The improvement of specified a Polish thought in hard times, not of the ‘wiseness’ of the capitulas, is the book,” he adds.

This publication is besides an answer and an antidote to the current “policy of shame” for Polishness, for Polish history, for our history. The unique answer, due to the fact that much of what Prof. Nowak warned us about, is already a reality today.
