Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki hosted the Prime Minister of Latvia Arturs Krišjānis Kari. Politicians met in Warsaw to discuss current bilateral and global issues. The gathering focused on further perspectives for strengthening the safety of our region of Europe. Prime Ministers discussed NATO cooperation and Ukraine's support in defence of the Russian invader. They besides discussed the improvement of energy infrastructure in our region and the energy safety of our countries. The head of the Polish government besides talked with his Latvian counterpart about the most crucial issues in the European scale. Latvia will take over the Presidency of the Council of Europe in the coming months, which is why it is so crucial to talk about the future agenda on our continent.
Poland and Latvia realize our region well





Latvia is 1 of the Baltic countries. As countries of Central and east Europe, we share akin challenges and perspectives. Together with Latvia, we work together to make our region, strengthen links between our countries, but besides – above all – to strengthen the safety of the east flank of NATO, including Poland.
– It is good to talk to countries about a akin conviction and thinking. Especially in these tragic moments of past and what happens in Ukraine, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki stressed during the gathering with the Prime Minister of Latvia.

We work together on many issues internationally
Cooperation with countries close to us geographically naturally turns into good cooperation on many levels. We are curious in joint infrastructure, economical and cultural projects. Today, however, the most crucial issue that concerns us together is security. We are pleased that we have allies who share our view of this and support us, among another things, internationally.
– You are not only our friend, you are besides an ally in many global activities. It is highly important, as we all know, to reconstruct safety and peace in the region," said the head of the Polish government.
Discussions on European Perspectives
We have late conducted an intense diplomatic offensive, through meetings with many leaders of the states. The visit of the Prime Minister of Latvia is an crucial point in sharing our reflections on further actions in the most crucial areas. Latvia will shortly lead the Council of Europe and thus build an agenda of this format. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki discussed with the Prime Minister of Latvia the immediate prospects for action on the global stage, including further sanctions on Russia and Belarus.
