We increase direct financial support

Prime Minister announced to launch a consultation on the law, which increases the provision of “Family 500+” to PLN 800 per month. Public consultation allows public opinion to be taken into account in the legislative process. This means that everyone can read the draft legislative act and submit their comments.

An increase of PLN 500+ to PLN 800 per period would not be possible if public finances were not repaired. In 2022, budget gross was 80% higher than in 2016. It is thanks, among another things, to the fight against VAT mafias, that we have funds for investment and social programmes specified as the 500+ family. With the increased state budget, we can rise this benefit from 1 January 2024.

– We transfer funds from a sealed budget and we implement our large programme. A large program to support work life and reconcile work life with household life for all parents, especially for women, of course. They bear the biggest, immense burden associated with raising children, and I would besides like to thank them again from this place – the head of the Polish government said.

800 zł for each child

So far 500+, 800+ will be eligible for all kid until the age of 18:

  • the parent or father;
  • the actual guardian of the kid (the individual actually caring for the kid who applied to the court for adoption) if the kid resides together and remains dependent on the parent or the father/actual guardian;
  • the child's legal guardian;
  • the manager of the welfare home.

There will be no change in the conditions for receiving support or in the way in which it is requested. Read more about “Family 500+”.
